Body

I have fibromyalgia

You have pain everywhere with no clear source, and the medication takes the edge off without ending it.

What this looks like

You have pain everywhere, sometimes localized, sometimes diffuse. You have brain fog. You have fatigue. You have unrefreshing sleep. You have flares that take you out for days at a time. You got the diagnosis after years of normal labs. You’re on prescribed medication. It takes the edge off. You’re still living around the fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia describes the pattern. It doesn’t tell you why your body fell into it.

What you’ve already tried

You’re still living around the fibromyalgia.

What’s your stress signature?

Educational, not diagnostic. Not a substitute for clinical assessment.

Why the standard treatments hit a ceiling

You very likely came out of a long stretch of stress, unprocessed trauma, or chronic emotional load that your body has been carrying ever since. You may have grown up in a household where you absorbed everyone else’s distress without anyone noticing what it cost you. You may have lived through something specific that taught your nervous system to stay on alert. You may have spent years pushing through a situation that was depleting you. Your nervous system fell into central sensitization, where you amplify signals that wouldn’t otherwise be painful, and the amplification has been running ever since.

The medication addresses pain signaling and mood. It doesn’t reach what’s been keeping your nervous system loaded. As long as the load is high, the medication has a ceiling.

You’re carrying a load and your body has been amplifying everything because of it. We work with you on the load.

How we work with it

Strategic therapy throws weight against the load that has your nervous system stuck in amplification, while your rheumatology and pain management care continue. We address the chronic stressors and unprocessed material your system has been responding to with widespread pain. The amplification turns down because the input it has been amplifying gets handled.

The flares space out. Your week stops getting organized around recovery from the last one.
