My skin flares when I'm stressed

Your skin flares with every stress and the dermatologist's prescriptions only address the surface.

What this looks like

You get skin flares reliably with stress. Your eczema, hives, psoriasis, or acne come back when something in your life is hard. You have prescriptions from your dermatologist. They help. The next stretch of stress brings the next flare.

You’re putting on your skin what the rest of you has been holding.

What you’ve already tried

You flared again with the next stress.

What’s your stress signature?

Educational, not diagnostic. Not a substitute for clinical assessment.

Why the topical treatments only partly held

You very likely came out of childhood with a skin that learned to register stress. You may have had a skin condition as a kid that taught your body that your skin was where distress went. You may have absorbed your family’s emotional weather through your skin without anyone noticing. You may have lived through a particularly stressful stretch that retrained your skin to flare every time something difficult arrives.

The treatments address the inflammation at the skin level. They don’t reach what’s activating the inflammation. As long as you’re still landing the stress in your body, your skin keeps being the place that registers it. The medications also have a ceiling. Topical steroids thin your skin over time. Biologics are expensive and you can rebound when you stop them.

You’re using your skin as the messenger. We work on the message.

How we work with it

Strategic therapy locates what your skin has been responding to, while your dermatology care continues alongside. We identify the situations that reliably activate a flare and change what you do inside them, so your skin stops getting the signal that something needs to come out somewhere visible. The flares get rare. The prescriptions stop running your bathroom counter.

Your skin stops being the daily readout of how your week is going.
