Practitioner Certification
A complete clinical methodology you can learn from zero. The certification covers technique, session structure and practice building.
Cohort: 3 Months.
Certification window: 12 months.
Eligibility:: No prior clinical training or license required.
Most clinical training programs take years and produce practitioners who still aren't sure what to do when a client sits down across from them. AST is different in one specific way: you learn a method that targets the function keeping the client's presenting problem in place, not the history behind it.

That means short cases. Clients who finish treatment and tell other people about it. A practice that fills from referrals because the work produces visible results. The certification teaches the full methodology and how to build a practice around it.
This training is customized to where and who you are and designed to turn you into a highly effective, intuitive strategic practitioner.
Who this is for
Career changers
No prior clinical training required. The course is designed for beginners who want a complete, usable methodology from day one.
Therapists and counselors
Looking to add a practical, outcome-focused modality to an existing practice.
Coaches
Working with clients whose issues require a clinical framework without a diagnostic model.
Practitioners seeking referrals
Brief therapy that works generates its own clients. This course teaches both technique and practice building.
What issues does AST help with?
Strategic therapy works with the function of the problem, not the diagnosis. That makes the method applicable across a wide range of presenting issues. AST practitioners work with clients on resolving:
If a problem has a function that keeps it in place, AST gives you a way to identify that function and interrupt it. We do not diagnose or prescribe. We intervene and interrupt the dysfunctional pattern.
Syllabus
Most training teaches you to trust the process and wait for results. This method teaches you to design them. This module explains why that's possible and what it asks of you.
The first session has a structure. Most practitioners never learned it, which is why so many first sessions feel like improvisation. By the end of this module, yours won't.
Understanding what's wrong is not the same skill as knowing what to do about it. This module covers the second one. You'll have specific tools for every kind of client response, including the ones who push back.
Anxiety, depression, couple conflict, family dynamics, habits, obsessive compulsive disorders and many more. This module maps the approach to the problems you'll actually see in your private practice.
The clinical work is only part of running a practice. This module covers how clients find you without advertising or social media, how to get referrals right from day one, what certification involves, and what's available to you after.

Practice building
The course covers how to describe what you do, set fees, structure sessions and build a referral pipeline. You also receive all of our practice building tools and access to ongoing community support.
Earning potential
Depending on where you are in the world, strategic practitioners typically charge between $75 and $250 per session. Our in-house practitioners charge $125 for the first 8 sessions, and $75 for the rest if needed. This gives the client the confidence that the practitioner's mission is to get results within a few sessions.
